Q: I live in Scotland. Can I submit a claim?
A: No, a Mortgage or secured loan must be secured on houses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
   
Q: Can I claim against any Mortgage Agreement or Secured Loan Agreement?
A: Yes, both current and previous mortgages and secured loans. The final payment must have been made within the last 6 years for paid off mortgages and secured loans.
   
Q: Am I protected for legal costs in the event of losing the case in court?
A: Yes in the unlikely event that you lose your case in court, our Legal Team would have ‘After the Event Insurance’ in place to protect you from any liability.
   
Q: Does it matter if I am in a Debt Management Plan or an IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement)?
A: If you are in a Debt Management Plan or an IVA we can still help you.
   
Q: Can I claim on a Loan secured on my car?
A: No, the loan needs to be secured on land or property.
   
Q: Is it correct that I do not have to discuss details about the claim with my Lender?
A: Yes, once you have authorised ourselves to deal with your claim on your behalf, everything will be done for you.
   
Q: Am I likely to be ‘blacklisted’ by the lender if I make a claim?
A: No, under the ‘treating customers fairly’ rules, you should not be treated any differently to any other borrower.
   
Q: Is it correct that the mortgage or secured loan will be first assessed before the claim is accepted?
A: Yes, your claim will have an initial assessment over the phone before we accept your claim.
